My Journey

I was born in Raetihi on the volcanic plateau of the North Island of New Zealand on the 29th of April 1954.   I moved a lot during childhood and lived in Tekaanu, National Park, Totoranui, Waitotara, Taumarunui, Te Karaka, Woodhill, Helensville and Napier.   At the age of 17, I moved to Nelson and began training as a nurse.  In the mid-1970s I moved to Central Otago where I stayed for 30 years.  In 2016, I was inspired to relocate to Golden Bay.

The wild, spacious and beautiful landscapes of Aotearoa have always inspired in me a heightened sense of awareness and a forever expanding connection to the meaning and purpose of life.  In 1990 I had a spontaneous spiritual awakening.  This was both powerful and painful, and so began my true tertiary education in living a more authentic life.  

In 1993 I started a collectively operated community centre in Wanaka called “Centre of the Universe”.   It became a social place of gathering where everyone was heard, respected and where enlightening exchanges were the mainstay of every day.   Many resident and visiting teachers ran workshops and courses and it was during these years that most of my holistic training occurred.   My work as a facilitator began with a variety of modalities including; massage, astrology, rebirthing, Reiki, tarot, esoteric and transpersonal psychology and various forms of meditation.  

I truly believe that all of humanity is united, especially through the need to love and be loved.   Stretching and expanding the confines of our conscious awareness is a rewarding and life-long commitment that generates more joy, freedom, and compassion.   We are all, on every continent and on every island, divine and innocent beings of light (with a few glitches of fear-based perception).
